1. Presentation
   

TEF is a test of general French issued by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris (CCIP) to assess the level of French language for non native French speakers. The test is valid for a year and gives photography of your level graded following the European frame for languages.
It is also useful if you need to evaluate your French skills for Canadian Immigration, French Universities or for work.

   

The TEF includes 5 tests:

3 obligatory tests

2 optional tests

Written Comprehension (60 min)

Written Expression (60 min)

Oral Comprehension (40 min)

Oral Expression (35 min)

Vocabulary and Grammar (30 min)

3. Registration
   

Documents to provide before the registration deadline :

  • registration form you can download here
  • photocopy of your passport
  • ID photo
   

Important Notes:

The obligatory and optional tests are both requested for Canada immigration.

  • The candidate can choose to endlessly repeat the exam whenever he wishes to, you just need to respect a 3 months delay in between 2 tests.
  • Fees are neither refundable nor transferable.
   
Registration Fees:
   

The tests fees are 1400 AED

  • Obligatory tests : 700 AED
  • Optional test 1 : written expression : 350 AED
  • Optional test 2 : oral expression : 350 AED
