1) Presentation
   

The TCF is the French language test awarded by the French Ministry of Education. It assesses a person’s level of French language for general purposes.  It is intended for people who are not native French speakers and who, for professional, academic or personal reasons, wish to have their competency in French assessed and certified.
All candidates receive a certificate of results that grades them at one of six levels (from A1 to C2) on the competency scale defined by the Council of Europe (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) CECR level: click here).
The level B2 is requested to apply for admission in a French University.

 
The TCF includes 5 tests:  
   

3 compulsory examinations

2 otional examinations

Written expression (1h45 min)

Important Notes:

  • The candidate can choose to endlessly repeat the exam whenever he wishes to as long as there is a gap of 60 days between examination sessions
  • Fees are neither refundable nor transferable.
   
Registration Fees : 1300 AED
   
  • Obligatory tests : 700 AED
  • Optional test 1 : written comprehension : 300 AED
  • Optional test 2 : oral comprehension : 300 AED
